It happened yesterday in the Parisian gardens of the Rodin Museum, in a scenery inspired by the Flemish painters from the native country of Raf Simons, where the couturier created his private Garden of Delights made in Dior. Oversize silhouettes, impeccable cuts, tunics and gorgeous dresses bet on rich fabrics with embroidered applications, floral prints, drapes and asymmetries in a perfect match of contrasts. Next season, Dior opts for a medieval and demure woman demonstrating the passion for the past of the Belgian designer, who retrieve the legendary “New Look” line and “Carola” skirt. His challenge? Convert old designs in fashion clothing. Mission accomplished!
