This could be the motto of Vermibus (pseudonym), famous for extracting luxury advertising campaigns from its light boxes, to deconstruct them in his study with solvent. After he relocates, paintbrush in hand, the aesthetic of these campaigns converted into his own work. This is the “modus operandi” of this Mallorcan artist who lives in Berlin, and whose work is about the dictation of the consumer society. His goal? Transform the advertising spaces on the street in places for reflection, to combat the advertising visual pollution; and the use made of street furniture for the sole purpose of promoting these aesthetic canons, which influence us in the wrong way.
