The Met Costume Institute has spoken: Next spring will host the exhibition “Punk: Chaos to Couture”. A retrospective of Punk movement since music (The Ramones, Johnny Rotten, Sid Vicious) to fashion (Vivienne Westwood, Gianni Versace and, of course, Alexander McQueen).
Ricardo Tisci is going to co-chair the exhibition, and the well-known photographer Nick Knight will be the creative consultant. Haider Ackermann, Ann Demeulemeester, Dolce & Gabbana, Marc Jacobs and Alexander Wang are some of the designers who will participate in the staging.
Today, many reminiscences of punk reach our streets in the form of spikes, leather and Dr.Marteens. Even brides love this transgressive aesthetics of the 70! How? Adding to their outfits biker boots, to break princess look. And you, would you change your Jesús Peiró stilettos by studs and Marteens?
