Last 25 June we left one of the greatest fashion photographers, Bert Stern. The same who portrayed Marilyn Monroe six weeks before her tragic death because of overdose. In our memories will always remain his seductive and revolutionary photographs of cinema and literature stars as Audrey Hepburn, Elizabeth Taylor and Truman Capote. “He changed the way people look celebrities“, said Jessica Johnson, working at George Eastman House.
We lost “the best” at age of 83 at his home in Manhattan, where he lived with his wife, the filmmaker Shannah Laumeister.
Fans of his sultry, streetwise and fun objective, from Jesús Peiró we give to this genius of photography our last goodbye with these brief and heartfelt lines. We’ll miss you Stern.
