Lights out. Journalists, curious and fans hold their breath in silence. The collection “Costuras“ of Jesús Peiró is about to release the Pasarela Gaudí Novias.
It sounds a melancholy melody that reminds past time, and appears in scene a “perfectly” half unfinished dress with stitching sewing, faded scraps and sketches that accompany a corset with black lacing on the chest.
Merche Segarra go back, with her usual subtlety, to the couture ateliers of the 50s. All models have in their hands the identification number of the dress they wear. Fashion works that way when the craft was almost an obligation.
And with stitching of the 50´s, Jesús Peiró celebrates 25 years extolling the work of his team, and thanking his punctilious care. Because the Peiró´s team, as the Parisian petites mains, knows the secret of creating a unique garment.
This time, the brand designs silhouettes dance between pencil and large volumes, with the lightness of chiffon, tulle and organza, or the extent of the fall of the satin duchese and taffeta Mikado.
I love all accessories! that glowed in necklines and wrists in a constant nod to couture with black ribbon structure ratios mannequins, the pins, the detailing of the patterns, the trimmings … and the wonderful white, mimicking the spool of thread or chalk mark.
A tribute to perfection for what´s Jesús Peiró is been working 25 years. Congratulations team!
