Haute Couture drawings

The artwork of Dior, Chanel, Gaultier, Lacroix, Valentino and Versace take shape on paper thanks to illustrator David Downtown, who avidly illustrated couture gowns that have just been shown on the Paris catwalk.

This English genius has become a celebritie. He began drawing cookbooks and science fiction, until the Financial Times gave him the opportunity to draw the Paris Haute Couture fashion shows.

Today David Downtown is known in all world, and brands such as Tiffany & Co, Bloomingdales, Barney’s, L’Oréal, Topshop, Chanel and Dior have succumbed to his charm. And I’m not going to be less.
